Alter Egos

Our intention this summer was to be in town more and "less busy" than last summer.  Well, we accomplished half of that idea so far.  We have been here more, but "busy" is just how we roll no matter where we are.  It is my nature, and definitely the nature of 4 year olds.  Lots of fun stuff though- check it out...

The Arts Fest in SLC.

A movie in the theater (Outside In...best Pixar yet!) with friends.

Cultivating and harvesting from our first real garden in Summit Park.  SO much fun and success so far!

And, of course, LOTS of face paint.  I just can't help myself.  I am trying to capture all of their incredible creations day after day.  Lots to see in this post.

Also, summer camp so mom can work.  They get to do field trips every week.  This week they went to a farm and came home with the most enormous eggs you have ever seen!  One was a turkey egg and one was a goose egg.  Ruby chose to scramble her and Owen decided to boil his.

Ha!  Dad and Owen picked matching shirts without planning.  Love when that happens.

oooo...is it halloween yet?!

Face paint goes everywhere with us, even the zoo.  I am sure it made the lion in the background feel more comfortable.

The funny thing about this face paint is that it has been a fun way for them to explore and try on their possible alter egos...for Ruby, an evil and dark side, and for Owen, one of bliss and endless smiles.  Ha! ;)

Team Kirby and Team DuRoss ventured out for a hike to Donut Falls in Big Cottonwood Canyon.

Love.  So yeah, good busy I'd say.
