More Winter, visits, and Easter!

Once ski lessons are over, Owen tends to lose interest in skiing.  Ruby, on the other hand, is still fired up.  So, Chip and I have to divide and conquer.  It was my lucky day so I got to get out and ski with Ru while the boys stayed home this Saturday morning.  Ruby was determined to learn how to store her poles under her leg on the lift.  Her determination is inspiring.  She did figure it out and only almost lost her poles a few times in the process. ;)

We are fortunate. Not a bad view for a girl's morning on the slopes.

We are still doing swim lessons- not as frequently, but consistently still I would say.  And, check it out, they now swim their laps in the big pool!  Working on a little back kicking here.

Their art continues to make me smile daily.  I love Owen's K-9 love picture for Kess.

And, Ruby's unicorn monster.

The coloring cracks me up too (get it?).  I love how she stays in the lines but used multiple colors....sort of making up her own lines within the lines.  Brilliant.

Nana and Papa came in for their annual spring visit!  The skiing was great!  Some adult time, some family ski time, and a nice lunch at the bottom of the town lift on Saturday.  So fun to have visitors in our favorite little ski town.

Dyed eggs together.  The colors are so vibrant these days.  And, so many cool effects they can get into.  Egg Dying has really expanded it's horizons.  Who knew?

The tye dye effect.

We did gold shimmery ones too.  They were all exquisite.

Chip led us on a long and adventurous walk around the alley's and hills of old town.

Then, off to a free Michael Franti concert at the base of PCMR.  He is one of our current favorite artists so this was a real highlight.  We got close enough to him to touch him at least three times throughout the concert, he played our favorites, and the crowd was totally into it.  Ruby and Owen made it pretty close to the front on our shoulders for the second half of the concert.  I was sore for days afterwards, but it was worth it.  Ruby and Owen were singing the words and it made me happy.

Above- nana and papa with a rainbow.  Here, the ninjas!

Easter morning.  Ruby trekking up from our house to Kaya and Renae's to start the egg hunt.

 It was snowy this year!

Brunch at Renae's.  Delish.

Andre and Owen in their matching tye dye shirts that Andre made.

Just a beautiful and dramatic day/sky in our neighborhood.

So, we are reading!  Here are a few videos capturing Ruby and Owen reading their first books.  Amazing!  I love the effort, the joy, and the success.  They have been working hard this year at school and with their online preschool program.
